Hello, my name is Newton, I am 65 years old. I originate from St Andrews, Jamaica. I'm a self taught baker working from my kitchen in Sandy, Bedfordshire.

My signature rum cake started over 25 years ago when my girls were young and didn’t enjoy the fruit and currents that are traditionally used in fruit cake. I found a creative way for them to enjoy jamaican cake without the texture of larger pieces of fruit.
